About Me
I am currently in my forth year here at MECHS. This year I am teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I also co-sponsor the Science Bowl Club, the Engineering Club, and the MECHS Fantasy Football League.

Prior to my arrival here in SISD, I worked for five years at the School-Age Parent Center in EPISD, as a science teacher and head of the Science Department, and co-coordinator of campus technology. I also had the honor of being selected as the 2003-2004 Campus Teacher of the Year.

In my previous life, I spent eleven years as an athletic equipment manager for UTEP (2 years), NMSU (2 years), Wichita State University (3 years), and the University of New Mexico (4 years). During that time I was fortunate enough to make two trips to Hawaii, work two bowl games, the NCAA basketball tournament, and the College World Series (definitely tops!).

Educationally, I earned a B.S. in Education from NMSU in 1992, and a M. ed. in Administration from WSU in 1994. I also attended UTEP in order to complete the requisite graduate hours needed to be certified to grant dual credit in Mathematics. I carry teaching certifications in all levels physical education, 6-12 composite science, and 8-12 composite mathematics, as well as gifted/talented.

In what little spare time I have, I enjoy playing fantasy football, PS3, surfing the net, reading, playing golf, spending time with my niece Katie and nephew Matthew (when I can since they moved to Dallas), playing with my dog Ella, and watching the greatest game ever conceived. I am of course referring to America's pastime, the incredible game of BASEBALL! I am thrilled to be teaching here at MECHS, and I plan on being here for a long time.
