Escontrias Elementary TEA Recognized Campus
At Escontrias we are all giving that extra degree to reach exemplary!
At 211 degrees, water is extremely hot. At 212 degrees, however, water begins to boil. With boiling water comes steam, and with steam comes enough power to fuel an engine, a locomotive – even a ship! That extra degree, that extra effort, is the difference between being great and just being good. It's an amazing concept that everyone can appreciate and relate to on many levels. After all, the difference between a gold and silver medal performance is often a mere fraction of a second. Click icon to see a video

Congratulations Mrs. Acosta
Escontrias Elementary 2008 – 2009 Teacher of the Year | Mrs. Cristina Acosta would like to thank all who believed in her aspirations in becoming a teacher in the best elementary school in El Paso Texas, Escontrias Elementary. Mrs. Acosta believes that the key to success is to work hard and to challenge yourself to things you desire to accomplish, as she always inspires by saying “work with the heart”. She has always challenged her students to go the extra mile, as she prepares them to be successful in life. Mrs. Acosta knows that education starts at home and believes that childhood positive experience is the base of a bright future. She feels parent involvement is crucial in student’s development, and that implementing education at an early age is very important for each student’s success. |
