Milken Award Winner Video Showcase

In December 2008, El Dorado math teacher, Candelario Barragan joined an elite group of teachers in the United States by being recognized with the prestigious Milken Award.  Dubbed the “Oscars of Teaching” by Teacher Magazine, the Milken National Educator Awards were created in 1985 to reward, retain and attract the highest caliber professionals to our nation’s schools.  Barragan was one of about 75 educators nationwide recognized this year with the Milken Award. Only 3 other teachers in Texas received the award this year.  We are proud to present an online video that showcases Mr. Barragan’s passion for teaching and love of knowledge.
